My love of angst came from listening to Wagner's opera's from my mid teens.

My final chapter of "Web of Treason" was inspired by the final act of "Die Walkure" where an angry father banishes a disobedient daughter, who acted only from love of him

The father and daughter are eventually reconciled and I was thinking of the music at the end of this clip when I wrote Aragorn's and Faramir's reconcilliation after their swim in the lake in " A Time to Reap."

Ah... Classics, Opera, Wagner...

A good reminder not only on music, but also on fact that history tends to repeat itself. "King Lear" is also about fathers and daughters - or authority figures and faithful servants. So believable...

Well, what my choice might be? A theme from Prokpfiev's "Romeo and Juliet" for "Web of treason" - for me, it has just the right amount of doom in it. As for "A time to reap" - a theme from "Jesus Christ - superstar", I think. Because for me it is about the process of rising spiritually.

Thanks!

Thak you for sharing your choice of music.I'm pleased someone else can think of music to go with my stories.
I have drafted my next chapter and sent it to Raksha.
