This is the music I was inspired by when imagining the scene and one line of dialogue is taken from it it. The lady in the opera is Brunnhilde,a Valkyrie and Shieldmaiden. Siegfried,alas,is no Faramir or the Ring Cycle might have ended happily.

The story is dedicated to the memory of all Mothers who are no longer with us in this world.Their love and influence endures.

I haven't been writing much or updating apart from my revised version of "Shadow and Thought" as I've been glued to the Olympic Games(though I'm not a sports' fan!).

I hope to post a new chapter of "A Time to Reap" soon. I assumed most of my readers would be too glued to the TV to want to read at present.

I'm also planning to post my Teitho winning story "Dies Irae" in the near future and a "Tale of Strider" next week,all being well.

So I've not forgotten my readers and hope to have stories for you very soon.
