I already left you the review at ff.net but I'll say it again here ... that's a *fun* little ficlet. Arogorn shirtless in the rain??? Be still my heart! Thanks for writing that. :)

I'm so pleased you enjoyed it.I wish a scene like that had been in the film! It always makes my day if someone has pleasure from a story.

That would have been a nice touch in the film, yes. I think LOTR had to have been the most chaste movie made in the modern era ... which I found refreshing, actually. But a little glimpse would have been nice. *sigh LOL

I wish they could just have somehow included a scene of shirtless Aragorn! They could have done that and still made a nice, chaste film.

I guess there just wasn't anywhere they felt wouldn't be gratuitous. It certainly wasn't because Viggo was shy about showing a bit of skin. LOL

Yes it certainly wasn't about Viggo's shyness. I saw his recent movie, Eastern Promises, and yeah the man is far from shy! The sauna fight scene....um, yeah, that's all I'm going to say! Very violent movie, but was interesting. He was good in A History of Violence too. I would have loved to have seen a few more scenes of Arwen and Aragorn in the LOTR movies too. Them dancing in the rain would have been cool! See Linda, you should have been on the screenplay consulting team for the movies!

As you already know Linda, I left you a review at FF and SOA I really did love this story. It helped my summer storms from back home feel near again. It just doesn't storm like that out here in Southern Cali. :-(

I have a copy of "Eastern Promises" but haven't yet watched it.I know Viggo is not like my shy Aragorn!

I wished they had asked us fans what should have been in the film!I wanted Aragorn healing Faramir as well as more Aragorn and Arwen!

Fierce storms are pretty rare in the UK,a few flashes of sheet lightning is usually all we get.

Eastern Promises is good, but very violent and dark. I'm not usually into very violent movies. It has to have a good story to back it up. Yes, I tend to prefer Viggo as Aragorn. He got so into that role, an that's what I love. I wish they had asked fans too, but could you imagine all the requests they would get. It's no wonder they didn't. I hope The Hobbit gets off the ground and happens. Ian Mckellen said he would love to play Gandalf again, and Eru help them if they don't recast him for that role!

Here where I live now, people freak out, literally, if it sprinkles just a tiny bit of rain, and there's all sorts of car accidents. It's horrible. I come from a place where we had tornados every spring and summer, and it was just a part of life. A tornado ripped the roof off our house once and shattered all the windows. Why I still love storms is beyond me. .......Gee, that was totally NOT romantic was it? LOL! Sorry! No tornados in Gondor I hope!!

I'm only planning to watch as Viggo is in it.I guess I can close my eyes at any bits too gory for me!

People freak out at snow in the UK.

We do very occasionally get high winds. Most of our slates blew off in the mid 1970's!

That was so lovely, it makes me wish we knew more about their marriage, and their romance before and after.

It almost makes me want to write het. HeHe!

Thank you so much! I'm delighted you enjoyed my story. Aragorn and Arwen are my favourite couple.

I've never been an Arwen Aragon fan, but more like this could sure make me one.

Personally I'm a Faramir and Eowyn fan. Actually I'm a Faramir fan with or without Eowyn. He's my favorite character in the whole epic.

I love Faramir, but have never been much of an Eowyn fan so I find them hard to write.I get round it by having Eowyn usually in Ithilien (and breeding horses) with the children while Faramir has adventures.

I adore Faramir on his own, but it was the gentleness he showed with Eowyn in the House of Healing that make my heart go even faster pitter patter. I love how this strong soldier and scholar became such a romantic, and fell so deeply in love.

Goose pimples all up and down just thinking of it.

I love Faramir's gentleness too.

If only more men took a cue from Tolkien's characters such as faramir. That would be just wonderful. :-) I too love how gentle he was with Eowyn in The House of healing. I wish we could hav seen a bit more of that in the movies too. It's so beautifully illustrated in the books.

I used to be in touch with a girl, who unfortunately had a violent boyfriend. She said she wished he were like Aragorn and Faramir. We do need more men like them.
There were so many scenes I'd have loved to see instead of say, Legolas getting drunk!
I'm just working on a chapter of "Shadow and Thought"

I can relate in my own way to your friend. I am sorry such a horrible thing happened to her. It's part of why I remain single. I figure the right one will cross my path eventualy, and there's no need to rush him along (although sometimes I am tempted to!)I just try to stay as positive as I can that there is a good man out there for me somewhere. :-)

I hope you are enjoying your writing tonight. I'm working on chapter 6 of my story and I'm surprised my fingers are not smoking yet! I look forward to your new chapter.

I'm happily single and sharing my life with my cats. who can be as bossy and demanding at times as any husband! You are wise to wait for the right person.

The chapter should be up in a few minutes.Good luck with yours!

Oh Linda, what a treat that was! Those are lovely images you have conjured up for us there.

I can't say I would have minded a glimpse of a pure Numenorean man with his shirt off somewhere in the films either LOL!
