The gardens looked especially fair by moonlight. Aragorn often walked there before seeking his bed.
The varied scents of the spring blossoms fragranced the night air. Overhead soared a sweetly singing nightingale.
He came upon Arwen walking beside the roses, her slender form illuminated by the gentle glow of the full moon, while the gems in her hair twinkled like stars.
He plucked a perfect bud and offered it to her. She buried her face in its sweetness then raised her lips to meet his in a tender kiss. The moon seemed to smile as she melted into his embrace.
