Beautiful! Did you plant them or are they 'volunteer'? I've always loved poppies since my Grandma had them in her backyard. I forgot to mark ours off this spring so my step-dad mowed over our whole patch. He's gotten to be rather blind so if it isn't two feet tall he just drives over it with the mower. It's my fault, entirely. For the past few years I've been marking them with these white plastic temporary fencing units we have. I can try to reseed them but they only grow when and where they want. I just hope they come in next year.

I bought the plant at the garden centre and my friend planted it for me. I hope yours grow again.

Me too! The patch appeared around what had once been a lone flower. That original flower came from out of nowhere.

Those are so beautiful. I love those red ones, best. I got a seed packet a few years back that were "supposed" to be red poppy seeds, but they are the bright orange ones. I wouldn't mind so much, but I wanted the reds ones really badly and almost everyone in my neighborhood has the bright orange ones. I wanted something different. Oh well, you can't have everything!
