Arwen sat bent over her needlework, her lovely face illuminated by the warm glow of the lamp.
“What are you making?” Aragorn asked.
“A shirt for you, Estel. You wear them out so quickly!”
Aragorn was taken back to another time and another woman who had been the centre of his world. Long ago, Gilraen had sat making his shirts by lamplight too.
“You could ask the seamstress to make them.”
“I enjoy sewing them for you because I love you.”
His mother had said that too. Was ever a man more blessed than he to be so richly cherished?
