I've just finished reading this wonderful story, one of the best stories I've read in ages(included printed books).
It has everything, noble Aragorn under great duress, h/c and great and highly complex OCs as well as being a fascinating study of Harad.

Ransom by MP brennan
As the son of a poor family in Harad, Hakim thought he knew what to expect out of life. But, when a stranger stumbles onto his land after escaping the Mountains of Shadow, he and his family see their lives upended.

it is a must read story, which I can only wish I'd written something as good.

She's a fabulous author, but so are you, dear. You're absolutely correct, though, it is a story well worth reading.

She did such a good job with it. I'm so glad she pursued the idea.

Oh, I've seen that story referred to but haven't read it. I'll save the link for the next time I have time to sit down and read a chunk of fanfic, then.

Thanks for the rec! Aragorn usually isn't my first choice of leading character, as I'm much more into his foster family's kind of beings ;o), but hurt/comfort always sounds nice. *g*

Thank you for the rec, Linda.

I'll add it to my Calibre when I get home. Along with my other books, I'm reading Fiondil's "Elf Interrupted 1" and that one is a monster! @.@ Enjoying it so far with lots of humour. :)

Aw, thank you so much! *tacklehugs*

It means a lot that you enjoyed my story. Going in, I was a little intimidated to play with Harad after all the rich world-building you did in your Ambassador Tahir stories. But, the world can never have too may Harad fics, right?

It is indeed a very good read. The characters are so well done. However, dont sell yourself short. Your style is different, but still enjoyable to read, and your characters are also well developed. You don't want everything to be the same.
